Constructing identities of motherhood, face work in close relationships,
family communication,
interpersonal communication in applied contexts, intimacy within
relationships.
Biography:
Laurel Traynowicz (Ph.D., University of Iowa, 1981) has taught a variety of
courses in interpersonal and relational communication, organizational
communication, interpersonal conflict, friendship, death and dying, public
relations, research methods, communication theory and applied communication.
Her research agenda focuses concurrently on projects involving forms of
relating, creating and negotiating identity, family and health care
communication, and social behavior.
